UPCOMING EVENTS

New Orleans Mission Trip Mtg Feb. 5th at 11am – required if you are going on the trip. Next summer, we will be traveling to New Orleans, LA for our mission trip and summer youth trip on July 16-23, 2012. We have 15 kids signed up and 4 adult chaperones.

Souper Bowl of Caring – Feb. 5th Despite the Packers not making it to the Super Bowl…we will still be collecting money for a local charity of the youth’s choice. Youth groups from around the country all participate in this event, and last year raised millions of dollars for local charities.

Trinity Youth Group – Feb. 5th at 11am – Led by Tammy Hobbs and Kim Risch

HS Lock In – Feb 19-20. No school on Monday, Feb. 20th

All Alaska Youth Summit – March 23-25 at Little Beaver Camp in Wasilla, AK. ***NEW***Formally “All Alaska Lutheran Youth Gathering”. Now a “PLUME” joint effort event with Presbyterian, Lutheran, United Methodist, and Episcopal churches. The hope for this Youth Summit Is to allow young people to step outside of denominational boundaries to join together young Christians to explore their faith, experience God's Love, and develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through a dynamic and meaningful ministry with peers. Featuring national recording artist Rachel Kurtz. Sessions led by your local youth directors and pastors. Broomball and snow tubing on site. $100/pp for 3 days and 2 nights of fun. Alyeska HS Retreat – March 30-April 1 Come join us for a ski day on Saturday, and we’ll stay the night at the Erickson’s house in Girdwood on Fri and Sat. Back for 9:45 youth group on Sunday. Lots of food, fun, games, and skiing. XC skiers welcome too.

AGLC Auction – April 21st at Admiral’s Place off Abbott Rd and Independence Drive, near Fred Meyer. An annual fundraiser for our youth mission trips. Youth, we need your help at the auction again. Proceeds benefit HS youth trips, the Red Wagon Society, and Child’s Voice.

Sports Games & School visits– Give me a call, I may just stop by your ski meet or school for lunch.
